The Gamecube was an interesting system. It sort of ran parallel to the PS2 and XBox and sat between the two in terms of power, but it was always regarded as a “kiddy” system thanks to its tiny discs, bright colors and carrying handle on the back.
Regardless, it has an amazing game library and has been a very popular system for people to collect for. Prices for games seem to have peaked in early 2016, so if you're looking to buy it looks like prices will continue to come down. Here’s a list of the top 10 most expensive games on the Nintendo Gamecube.
As always, this list excludes bundles and promo titles. Prices are for complete games, which includes the case and manual.
#10 Mega Man X Collection
$46.48
#9 Digimon Rumble Arena 2
$53.50
#8 Ikaruga
$53.64
#7 Skies of Arcadia Legends
$55.00
#6 Go! Go! Hypergrind
$67.49
#5 Fire Emblem Path of Radiance
$87.30
#4 Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus
$102.22
#3 NCAA 2k3
$162.50
#2 Cubivore
$165.25
#1 Gotcha Force
$192.75
Some big surprises in there. Popular franchises like Mega Man, Fire Emblem and Digimon aren't typically rare. And NCAA 2k3 is a shock, as sports games are typically considered to be games to be cannibalized for their cases by collectors, however this game received an extremely limited release making it quite rare. Definitely one to look out for, as almost everyone will look right past it.
