Battle Royale game genre is loved among gamers, both gamers on the PC, console, or mobile. Despite leaving a huge market opportunity, Microsoft claimed not to follow-follow-up make Battle Royale game.
Two Battle Royale game titles, namely PlayerUnknown's Battleground (PUBG) and Fortnite: Battle Royale, are competing for the market share of the game. In addition to pamper PC gamers and consoles, developers of both games had also made a mobile version.
But, with the incredible hype of Battle Royale games, Microsoft is not interested in making similar games. The reason is simple, because Microsoft does not want to make games that have been made other developers. This opinion was delivered by Xbox boss Phil Spencer.
"Millions of gamers play Battle Royale games right now, I do not want to just make it because the others have made it," said Spencer quoted from Gamespot.
He also praised the games that exist today. According to him, Fortnite and PUBG are great games. And now, there are qualified developers working on games with the same genre.
"I prefer to support, unless we find something special in (first-party) is different," he added.
