Hello! Welcome to another informational tid-bit on How-to play the Sims. I am Simgirl, and I will be introducing the latest and greatest additions to the Sims 4 game!
When I went back to the Sims 4 game to see if they had any new, cool content, I was thrilled to see that they had recently introduced the Wedding Plans add-on!
This is what every Simmer has been waiting for since the creation of the game; the chance to plan and create the perfect Sim wedding!!!!
Along with the new wedding planning aspect, you are able to add other Sims to the wedding party, making the event a memorable occasion.
I decided to start a new game, and new Sims for this new Sims' content. The Sims, Bella and Bo Butterfly will be my subjects as I venture into the wedding world of the new game addon.
With the new game play, and new items, another town of wedding planning has been added to the world map. The Tartosa village has everything a newly engaged couple could expect to find, including a beautifully decorated wedding venue, a lively lounge, and remarkable, local romantic sights.
There are 4 open residences in Tartosa. Two open lots, and two pre-made residences. There is also a rental property, which may hint that Tartosa can be used as a vacation spot for existing Sim families.
I picked a little house on top of the map as a starter home for my new Sims. The house is nestled along a stone path and only a quick jog from the wedding venue. The view of the village is breathtaking, and makes for lovely screenshots, and selfies.
After making my new Sims and moving into a new house, I used the cheat code Shift + Ctrl + C to open the command bar then typed 'Motherlode' to add $50,000. I gave the newly engaged couple $250,000 to start their new life.
Since I used the game options to pick Bella's personality, she was already a painter, and needed only to increase her painting skills for her career. I created Bo myself, so I needed to get him a job.
Once they were settled with their new life, and new jobs, I worked on decorating the house.
Bella has a mean trait, I imagine given to her by the game when I answered that I would laugh at a friend if they fell down the stairs. I can't change her traits... so she is mean. The house was decorated for a child with a dinosaur stuffed animal.
Bella spent most of her time beating up on the stuffed dino, so that was the first room I worked on. I turned it into a painting studio since that is the room she will be spending most of her time.
I then took out all of the old furnishing, either setting them aside, or selling them to make room for new stuff. I decided that I'd rather have them in a bigger Livingroom, than kitchen, so I switched the locations of those two rooms.
I filtered the items from the vintage collection and picked the colors of blue and gold. Once the house was complete to my liking, I was ready to get started planning the Butterfly wedding!!!
Since I want to be able to do all the activities, I have given the Butterfly's a lengthy, year-long engagement, this way they have time to make friends and have a proper wedding party.
This may be a challenge since Bo gets a sentimental feeling every time he is introduced to another female...
By going into the lessons section of the Sims 4 options menu, you are able to read about all the different activities that are available for the wedding planning. The town of Tartosa is equipped with plenty of activities to guide your Sim through the wedding planning process; from the cake tasting, to the bouquet toss.
I hope you have learned a little more about how to play the Sims and the new Wedding Plans game addon. I hope to be able to document the rest of the Butterfly story as I play, and bring more exciting progress reports soon!
Until next time,
Happy Gaming!
