Hello Steemit,
Firstly, I just want to say what a great platform Steemit is. I've only been here for nearly two weeks but already I've enjoyed every second that I've spent here. The community as a whole is fantastic and I've discovered some excellent content and had some great discussions. Long may it continue!
As some of you may know, or will hopefully know after reading this, I'm the founder and editor of a gaming news and review website called Gaming Respawn. We've been around since 2015 but I've been writing about games for longer than that. Like most smaller publications, we have a real problem making ends meet. We're not in it to be famous or to make a load of money. We do what we do because we love gaming and we love writing about games.
Thankfully, we found Steemit! In the short time that we've been here, we've written a mixture of Steemit exclusive articles and posted some directly from our site. The reception has been great and to top it all off, we've made more money through Steem Dollars and Steem in that short period of time than we would make in a few months through traditional advertising. For us, that's huge and it means we can focus on writing about games rather than worrying about getting enough views to pay the bills. It truly is a weight off our shoulders!
Now the reason for writing this blog post to you all is because we want to hear from you about the reasons why you use Steemit, particularly the gaming category and what sort of content you would like to see.
We truly believe in Steemit and in what it is trying to achieve. We feel that it is revolutionary and with the upcoming release of Smart Media Tokens, this platform could really be a game changer.
So to all you Steem gamers, we have a few questions for you. We would love it if you would take a few minutes out and answer them as thoroughly as possible.
1) Do you use Steemit Gaming to just post your content or to read content from other people? Both?
2) Would you like to see more gaming news posted on Steemit instead of having to visit traditional gaming publications for your news?
3) What sort of gaming content do you enjoy the most on Steemit?
4) Would you like to see a specific, separate category called GamingNews for... gaming news?
5) Do you welcome publications using the Steem platform to share their content?
6) Should only Steem exclusive content be posted on Steem?
7) Are you happy with articles being copied and pasted onto Steem from other websites, even if the author or verified site has posted it here?
8) Anything else you want to add...
Please post your answers to these questions as a comment below and hopefully we can have some good discussions about what's best for Steem and how to move forward.
I look forward to reading your answers and discussing some of the points in more detail.
Thanks!
