Been working on my first solo game during the year. So far been mainly doing the technical bits, but have now finally reached a point where it all is starting to come together.
You basically draw the wind and the wind picks up and carries any hamsters it gets in contact with. You help them out on their journey home. I have young kids and the goal has been to create something they can enjoy, without making it a game for children. The game works with mouse/touch controls and currently runs in browser, mac, linux, windows, Android and iOS.
So far I have used KDE Neon and Unity along with a slew of open source applications like Inkscape, Gimp and Visual Studio Code to create the game.
Only place hold assets so far, but here you can have a peek from when I tested performance with a ton of hamsters..
If interested, I put up a webgl version to test save/load in browser. Can be found here: https://smjn.itch.io/hiw
