Hello Fellow gamer Steemians , for the last 2 days we have been talking about long range damage dealer characters in Battlerite , Surprise Surprise! we have something quite different in our plate today and it is Rook , The Ten Ton Hammer. Well it may look easy and simple when you play Rook but like in everything it requires time to do tricks of it.
Rook is a tanky bruiser with lots of Crowd control abilities and he is annoying as a fast assasin because when you use his skills and limited dodge abilities he almost become unkillable with a healer and also as his name Ten Ton Hammer he deals tons of damage.
Rook , The Ten Tom Hammer - Extensive Guide
Well if I wanted to explain more the hero if you are a League of Legends player you will understand better because he is like Garen , it is simple to play hard to master type of character. He got a decent long range gap closer and a great counter attack to neglect the focus damage you have been facing in the game. He just smashes like Hulk.
Rook Skills & Masteries
This is one of the better and stronger autoattacks other than the rest of the meele champions that exists in the game. His autoattacks become even stronger with broken armor and it reduces the cooldown of your AoE.
This is your main crowd control AoE stun and you will most likely to use it for pushing more damage to your opponent , however if you want to get good with Rook you just need to learn how to use the jumping animation while you are stunning opponents for dodge , escape purposes from major nuke skills.
This is a quite decent counter skill in order to dodge projectile skills and every other minor skill that have a damage and slow potential . When you able to cast it in the right time your champion gots in the Berserk mode you will get 70 percent reduced damage and your Pummels are going to be a lot faster.
If you are in a though situation and you want to change your position but you are too big and slow to do it , What are you going to do ? Ofcourse you will toss a boulder in to your enemies and change their position and knockback.
This is a quite usefull skill and finisher because eventhough Rook has some long range gap closer skills it is still having problem in chasing your opponents and by any chance if two lunatic meeles trying to train you next to a wall this is the skill you are going to need badly, It throws the opponents away from you and if the opponents get hit by a wall in that throwing process they got incapacitated.
Well I can't say that Rook's ex abilities are something beyond to earth , however you can still use them according to your favor. If you find yourself in line of sight position but you need to fight 1v1 with your opponent you can eat a pork and get heal up , other one is quite simple you throw your meat in to your opponents head and snares them it is a strong poke attack and also it heals you back too.
This is the Hulk Smash mode of the champion because it deals huge scaling damage and it penetrates anything like walls the best part is it damages everyone in the line of your Ultimate. Also you can use your jumpings to dodge the skills while you are still dealing massive damage to the enemy team with your Tremmor
Rook's Masteries
Rooks auto attacks are crucial and it is going to be your main damage source with the broken armor debuff , therefore we need to pick this Battlerite in order to make our attacks more deadly.
Crusing blow is our secondary damage push and the best part is AoE therefore we need to pick the +6 damage from the Battlerite and the manual one in order to increase our damage output and Crowd control time.
Space is one of the main gap closer we really don't need to pick this one alternatively we can also pick the Berserk secondary battlerite however I really like this one because it provides me capacity to use it more and more during the game.
This skill is not negoitable because when you go in Berserk mode you get 70 percent reduced damage from your foes therefore this might be the best Battlerite Rook has.
Well Rook is a simple and strong champion if you are used to standart Battlerite mechanics , however there are some important situations where Rook shine even more and one of these situation is the Sudden Death Rook is an amazing 1v1 champion because of his crowd control and knockback abilities and it provides him an unique advantage in Sudden Death situations. You can always throw your opponent in to that electric field with your Charge and Boulder
The main idea behind Rook is body blocking and agression because if you want to be usefull with Rook , you need to charge and attack and chase your foes in order to provide some more room to your damage dealer and support , because you are Rook and you need to harras your opponents.
There aren't much counters to Rook but he is having quite much trouble against the double range damage dealer compositions because of lack of survivability , you just need to change your playstyle against those compositions also you shouldn't lose your support in the excitement of game , because you have a great potential to push back your opponents but probably in 9/10 situations best thing to do is fall back and join to your team and take the orb.
