Diamond geezer

I keep playing Hive account@splinterlands on and off. I have been doing the daily quests lately that now pay out a mix of cards, DEC, potions and orbs. I still do not fully understand how the potions work. I will save up some DEC to level up some of my cards.

How far I get tends to be limited by my summoners. The best are only Level 3 and I meet a few better ones along the way. Luckily things went my way towards the end of the last season.

I got to Gold I and was pretty happy to that, but when I finished the quest today I thought I could shoot for Diamond III. I kept getting opponents with Level 1 cards and so I was able to break into Diamond. That gave me 40 'loot chests'. Lots more DEC and a few cards that were new to me. The Fire Spitter gives me another if I need to play just Dragon cards. I rarely play Fire and Life as I have not levelled them up so much.

Summoners are relatively expensive, so I will not level them up very often. I guess I could sell a few card I do not use. I notice the prices asked for them are much higher than what it suggests they are worth.

@Splinterlands is the biggest Steem dapp according to Hive account@stateofthedapps. They are seeing good growth and with such an active market they are bound to want to continue. Maybe Tron can help bring in more players. They did not buy the game, but they now have some leverage with their massive Steem holding from Steemit Inc. They also have other funds behind them to tempt developers to work with them.

Now and again I run into someone I know in a battle. Today it was Hive account@chekohler who helps out with Hive account@steemflagrewards. He beat me. I really think the game should have more of a social side with links to blogs and the ability to send messages. That could get more gamers into blogging and being social.
