It has been 20 years since I've played D&D, but the opportunity has presented itself recently. First, I found this in the free library outside of Caffetto.
My dear friend and former Dungeon Master died the day before I found this, so I took it as a sign, and happily put the Player's Handbook into my backpack.
As I showed it off at the coffee shop, a few people showed interest in playing, and now, is the Dungeon Master for
, one of the Caffetto baristas, and me.
I've never played as an elf or a magic user before, so my character is a Lawful/Evil elf cleric.
Her name is Vrana, and she is a cleric of the Dark Goddess Shar.
Behold the glory of Vrana!
So, I'm not really an artist...
She has a chakram(like Xena) and a scourge whip. Her tongue is sticking out, because she is just so EVIL!!!
Once a tenday, she must perform an act of wickedness for her goddess, which is where the whip comes into play. She can cast a paralysis spell(hold person) and then she goes to town with the whip:)
Speaking of wickedness, the new MTG set, Hour of Devastation was released yesterday.
Out of my packs, I got the Planeswalker Nicol Bolas.
got me an early birthday present, a Magic deck with another Nicol Bolas planeswalker!
I've played a few games with and
with mixed results, but once I get the hang of it, Nicol Bolas will be brutal.
Between the D&D and the new Magic cards, I will certainly not be bored any time soon.
On top of this, the new season of Game of Thrones starts tomorrow! I may never sleep...
