Ekans is my favorite pokemon!
Ekans (#023) is a poison-type pokemon that is designed to resemble a snake. In fact, the name Ekans is "Snake" backwards!
Because Ekans' type is poison, it is vulnerable to psychic and ground types, and is ineffective against steel.
Ekans evolves into Arbok. Arbok is Cobra backwards with a k.
Like Arbok, Ekans' main strength is its attack.
Ekans has three special abilities, shed skin, intimidate, and unnerve.
Its five most common moves are Poison Sting, Acid Spray, Acid, Gunk Shot, and Belch. Belch is the strongest of these moves, dealing 120 damage.
Ekans' defense is worse than that of Arbok, which is already weak. This weakness often outweighs its attack.
Ekans naturally preys on Pidgey and Spearow nests. At rest, it coils up in a manner in which it can defend itself from all directions.
Ekans develops a poisonous bite as it reaches adulthood, however it continues to grow throughout its life.
