Disclosure: A copy of Versus World was sent to me by the developer free of charge.
Versus World is an Early Access first person shooter with an emphasis on fast paced action and twitch controls. The game is very cartoonish in nature and allows you to customize yourself to look like a whole bunch of different things.
The style is very blocky and it looked like most everything was cell shaded.
In terms of variety, you're looking at around 5 maps, a host of game modes with you being able to create your own, and around six weapons to choose from.
The maps all have the ability to have powerups enabled. They look like multicolored blocks that give you some sort of buff or item.
The game currently has a rather non-existent player base but there are bot matches that you can create in order to get your fix. All in all, the mechanics feel alright but I felt like I was getting some strange frames drops from time to time. You might not see it in the video, but it definitely felt like it when playing the game.
Versus World is currently $7.99 on Steam and it's an interesting game that I may have to visit again in the future if more content releases.
