If you have ever played Heretic Kingdoms: The Inquisition (in some countries known as Cult: Heretic Kingdoms) you know what today's text is about. In a small number of games we have the pleasure to play as a demon and thus possess people and use their skills.
The game as for hack'n'slasha offers us isometric graphics a'la Diablo . The whole is kept in quite nice (as for 2014) dark graphics, which adds climate. The most important aspect of the game, however, is the mechanics of the game in two worlds simultaneously. Starting the game, it should be noted that our hero is not such an ordinary hero as in any other game - we play a demon, and exactly the devourer of souls . At the very beginning we have to choose three souls of fallen great heroes, depending on whom we choose this character we will play in the ordinary, human world. It is worth noting that each of the three heroes has separate skills, development tree and other role-playing missions. In addition, to make it a little easier for us to play a little easier can be accompanied by the so-called "puppets" or possessed by us people - a maximum of three at once from a pool of 15 different warriors . In the land of shadows we can only play the aforementioned devourer himself.
But what about these worlds?
During the game, for example, when we meet a group of enemies we can move into the so-called shadow land, which is an alternative reality - take the enemies from behind, go back and finish the work. In the alternative reality is not happening what happens in the ordinary world, everything looks different and there is no our companions there. Of course, to make it not so colorful we can meet there other demons, ghosts or ghosts that are stronger than some bosses. The land of shadows also helps in passing games, searching for treasures etc.. If in a normal game we see a treasure chest at the top of the believes and we have no way to get there, just move around and the tower will be an old ruined ruin and into the chest we will get after the disintegrating walls.

As in every rpg we have here a lot of weapons, armour and other iron to collect or buy. In the sea of useless scrap metal we will get during the game weapons more useful in the form of artifacts or prescriptions ? . Prescriptions are nothing more than Diablo 3 diagrams. We have to find all the ingredients, go to the blacksmith and ready - a new "rare" elixir or armor.
Here and there
Locations in which we will have to fight battles and crouch hidden secrets are made very carefully, and we will come to visit the desert fortress Thole , The Broken Spear Pass , Taymurian Wilderness forests or dungeons Kogog'Aak . It should be added that each listed location we can go twice - in the normal world and in the land of shadows.
Finally, the game emphasizes the story, not the blunt chopping of everything that moves. And we have many endings, which motivates you to go back into the world of Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms .
