Early last year, it was reported that a Sonic the Hedgehog movie was in development by Sony Pictures, set to release in 2018. The movie will be a mix of Live-action, as well as CGI. This information was confirmed by the CEO of Sega, Hajime Satomi, during an interview with “The World Folio” back in February.
Earlier today, it was confirmed that the rights for the movie are now in the hands of Paramount Pictures.
The film will be still be produced by Tim Miller (director of Deadpool) and Jeff Fowler (director and writer for Gopher Broke).
