I am the member of traditional Hindu Brahman family, know the religious importance of Ganga. But my curious mind always wants to know why Ganga water is so important. When you have no much Ganga water you can mix Ganga water in normal water and the value will be the same. Now when I grow up as the science graduate, admitted for Masters degree in Botany I studied about Bacteriophages, a virus which is the cause of this all traditional ritual performed by Gangajal. Ganga river is the life line of all Hindus. Bacteriophage virus is a bacteria killer, so when you protect worshipping place through Gangajal you actually protect the place from bacteria when you take Charan Amrita as a part of the ritual, actually, you are taking bacteriophage within your stomach. To kill all harmful bacteria. you can say in one word that Hindu dharma is more logical and practical.And Ganga river is the back bone of Hindu dharma
