One of my mini capsicum plants has babies on it! This is the mini-est of mini capsicums at the moment, and super cute on the plant. The punnet said they were mixed colours, so it will be interesting to see what colour each emerging one is going to be.
The flowers are my tatsoi. It's bolted, but I managed to get a few harvests off it first. The leaves were really tasty in salads. It's thrown this huge stalk up now, but at least the tiny yellow flowers look nice.
The biggest tomato plant is kicking along and these two in particular are growing bigger every day. I'm having a bit of trouble keeping the bed from drying out, so hopefully it won't have too much impact on them.
Finally, these little guys. These two came off too early, but I have to be honest - not knowing what kind of cherry tomato it is I'm really unsure how to tell when they are ripe. (Pardon the blurry shots, the kitchen light isn't very forgiving.)
They start out green with dark purple, then darken up all over, then it starts to fade to a reddy-dark purple with yellow. I'll have to see what the others do.
I cut these open to see what was happening inside and they still look a little green, or maybe yellow ... I don't know? Maybe they're supposed to be that way?
It's Friday night so I'm looking forward to spending some time over the weekend pottering in my garden again.
Until next time,
@Sammie
