The blueberries are starting to become ripe and ready for picking. Lovely Logic and I spent some time outside picking three plants. We got a few dozen berries and I expect to keep harvesting every day like this so I should get a container full by the end of the season.
We chilled the berries as they taste kinda funny all warm from being out in the sun. But the freshness cannot be beat, eating berries fresh off the plant has flavors that markets cannot keep in this plants.
Thank you Mason and Leafcutter bees for pollentating nearly every flower and giving us so many berries this year. I don't think we got anywhere this many before I had bees in my yard.
Looking down on my Pawpaw tree its nearly ten feet tall now, it's about three years old and I'm amazed how quick it grows.
In the hay lays my red potatoes, they have broken through the hay and are now producing leaves.
The Yukon gold potatoes are almost ready. Most have produced flowers and even a few produced fruit. But the above ground potato fruit is toxic to humans so I dont be using them for anything.
You can see a little sweet potato vine in the jungle of Yukon golds seems it did not grow anywhere as quick as the Yukon Golds. I was expecting it to take over, growing them previously they grow very fast so not sure what happened there.
I'll be using my D-fork to pull up the spuds soon, once all the flowers die.
