Myoga is a plant which spicy flower buds we Japanese like to eat in the summer time. It's called Japanese Ginger in Germany. That's right it has ginger like taste. Shiso and Myoga make an ultimate refreshing taste for a hot summer day ...
The red pink one in the lunch box is Myoga. It's used like herbs.
I adopt quite well to food where I live in but Myoga is something I was missing for long. I found it's available Rühlemann's and wondered for few years I shall have it or not. Finally I ordered two pots of Myoga recently and they arrived today. Party party!
I was curious how the company ships plants as there is no way to specify "do not turn upside down" in Germany ... or it may be quite Japanese-ish that we can do so. We suffered a lot from shipping when we were selling hundreds of Mobile Gardens, a portable plant pot with living plants after we introduced Mobile Garden in a TV show.
Here is how Myoga arrived:
Nothing special ;) I wonder how do they ship taller plants.
Anyway I'm so happy to have Myoga finally and motivated to help them grow to have some flower buds this summer.
I'll go to buy a deep pot for them on Monday.
