Hello, steemians! Welcome to da garden, eh!
It's been about a week and a half since my last home garden update, so I figured that it was about time to post another update to show you how the garden is growing.
Here's a look at the big view of the garden. The popcorn is in the foreground, and potato plants in the background.
Here's a closer look at the popcorn plants. They might actually be knee high by the 4th of July. :-)
There's several potato plants growing in the popcorn, this area was the potato section last year and I obviously didn't get all of the potatoes out of the garden when I harvested last fall.
The potato plants are finally growing well. They always start slow, but they're growing strong now. There's 3 different kinds of potatoes growing in this part of the garden.
I bought some summer squash plants to put in the unused raised bed. I have 3 sets of yellow straight neck squash, and one set of zucchini plants in this bed.
The tomato plants in the raised bed are still growing pretty slowly. It has been colder at night than what tomato plants like. We're supposed to have a warm spell coming this week, so perhaps they'll start growing a bit faster then.
The side garden was also planted with popcorn this year. I noticed a potato plant coming up in this garden also. Last year, I grew red potatoes in this area.
Since I haven't written a post about my greenhouse tomatoes in a while, I thought I would put a couple of pictures of them in this post also. These plants are doing really well so far this year. The plants seem to really like the microclimate in the greenhouse.
That's all I have for this post, thanks for stopping by to check it out!
