I finally was able to get my potatoes planted today. We've had at least 2 weeks of crappy weather with only a couple days without rain, so it's been a bit of a challenge to get the garden planted, and I'm still not done. I took this picture yesterday after digging the shallow holes for the potatoes, before I got chased inside by the rain.
All the green stuff in the garden is white clover that we planted last year as a cover crop to rebuild the soil a bit. I didn't till the right side of the garden in the picture because we might be getting some roof work done and the debris trailer will have to be brought in through there. The raised bed on the left side has my carrots this year. I picked a good time to plant them 2 weeks ago because we got a lot of rain to help them germinate. Now I need to thin them out in spots so that they'll get big.
I still haven't got the bean trellis put up yet, maybe tomorrow if it doesn't rain. I don't like getting wet, I might melt...
