Planting chili is easy to do because the chillies can grow fertile planted by any method either conventionally planted directly in the soil or by hydroponic ways that use hydroponic special nutrition water that is sold in the farm equipment store.
This time I try to plant chilli by using hydroponic way by utilizing used goods precisely bottled drinking mineral water because this bottle is very easy to find everywhere, especially big city area bottle of this former become garbage that pollute public place because less conscious people to throw garbage in its place. In addition to the used bottles I also use a glass of mineral water, ferns, red brick, cement bags and fabric axes.
Bottled mineral water.
This bottle serves as a container to store hydroponic nutrients of 1 and 1.5 liters or larger will be better because it will hold more water nutrients and if the tree is large does not add too much water.
Glass of mineral water.
I used drinking water glass to put the planting medium and before it should be given a hole in the glass from bottom to side of the glass that works for the exit of roots and air circulation.
Roots of ferns.
The roots of the ferns here are not the root part of the fern tree but the stems of the dead and decayed fern tree and taken inside of the fern tree trunks and used as planting medium and mostly as the orchid growing medium.The advantage of fern root is because of its characteristic and its easy nature of water binding, it has good aeration and drainage, also the root of this fern is soft texture so easily penetrated by plant roots.
Broken red brick.
This fraction of the red brick I use as anchoring for this chili tree to stand upright and not easily collapsed in the wind and red bricks have the advantage to neutralize the water Ph to remain stable more or less the same function with the media planted hydroton sold in the market only the shape is round so as not to injure the roots and stems of the plant.
The former bag of cement.
The former cement pouch I used to wrap the bottle and I hope this way can protect the bottle from the sun to keep the bottles and nutrients inside the bottle easy to overgrown with moss that can disturb the growth of my chillies later and darker the better.
Fabric axis.
The axis of cloth I use to absorb the water of nutrients on the bottle and will be absorbed the root of this fabric axis plants must have high absorption so easy to deliver water to the roots of plants and fabrics are the best and often used in this hydroponics is a flannel cloth that is often used for hydrponik axis system, but I use axle fabric stove I do not recommend using this because I only use what is available and preferably flannel fabric because it is easy to use and its absorbency is good enough for hydroponic plants.

Menanam cabe hidroponik botol bekas hari pertama.

Menanam cabe memang mudah dilakukan karena cabe bisa tumbuh subur ditanam dengan metode apa saja baik secara konvensional langsung ditanam ditanah maupun dengan cara hidroponik yang menggunakan air nutrisi khusus hidroponik yang banyak dijual ditoko alat pertanian.
Kali ini saya mencoba menanam cabe dengan menggunakan cara hidroponik dengan memanfaatkan barang bekas tepatnya botol bekas air minum mineral karena botol bekas ini sangat mudah ditemukan dimana saja, terutama daerah kota besar botol bekas ini menjadi sampah yang mengotori tempat umum karena kurang sadarnya orang orang untuk membuang sampah pada tempatnya.
Selain botol bekas saya juga menggunakan gelas bekas air minum mineral, akar pakis, pecahan bata merah, kertas bekas kantong semen dan sumbu kain.
Botol bekas air minum mineral.
Botol ini berfungsi sebagai wadah untuk menampung air nutrisi hidroponik dengan ukuran 1 dan 1.5 liter atau yang lebih besar akan lebih baik karena akan lebih banyak menampung air nutrisi dan jika pohonnya sudah besar tidak terlalu sering menambah airnya.
Gelas bekas air mineral.
Gelas bekas air minum ini saya gunakan untuk meletakan media tanam dan sebelum harus diberi lubang pada gelas mulai dari bawah sampai samping gelas yang berfungsi untuk keluarnya akar dan sirkulasi udara.
Akar pakis.
Akar pakis disini adalah bukan bagian akar dari pohon pakis tetapi batang dari pohon pakis yang sudah mati dan lapuk dan diambil bagian dalam dari batang pohon pakis tersebut dan digunakan sebagai media tanam dan kebanyakan sebagai media tanam anggrek. Keunggulan akar pakis adalah karena karakteristiknya dan sifat-sifatnya yang mudah mengikat air, memiliki aerasi dan drainase yang cukup baik, juga akar pakis ini bertekstur lunak sehingga mudah ditembus oleh akar tanaman.
Pecahan bata merah.
Pecahan dari batu bata merah yang saya gunakan ini sebagai penahan untuk pohon cabe ini agar berdiri tegak dan tidak mudah roboh tertiup angin serta batu bata merah ini mempunyai keunggulan untuk menetralkan Ph air agar tetap stabil kurang lebih fungsinya sama dengan media tanam hidroton yang dijual dipasaran cuma bentuknya saja yang bulat sehingga tidak melukai akar dan batang tanaman.
Bekas kantong semen.
Bekas kantong semen saya gunakan untuk membungkus botol dan saya harap cara ini bisa melindungi botol dari sinar matahari agar botol dan air nutrisi yang berada didalam botol ini tidak mudah ditumbuhi lumut yang dapat menganggu pertumbuhuan pohon cabe saya nanti dan semakin gelap semakin baik.
Sumbu kain.
Sumbu kain saya gunakan untuk menyerap air nitrisi pada botol dan nantinya akan diserap akar tanaman sumbu kain ini harus mempunya daya serap yang tinggi sehingga mudah menghantarkan air pada akar tanaman dan kain yang paling bagus dan sering digunakan dalam hidroponik ini adalah kain flanel yang sering dipakai untuk hidrponik sistem sumbu, tapi saya menggunakan kain sumbu kompor saya tidak menganjurka menggunakan ini karena saya hanya memanfaat apa yang ada dan sebaiknya memang kain flanel karena mudah dalam menggunakannya dan daya serapnya cukup bagus untuk tanaman hidroponik.
