I feed hundreds of people & that brings me happiness
When Opportunity Knocks, Open the Door!
When a large group of people actually support you and encourage you to do something - it can be your driving force to success. The funny thing is, it doesn't even take a large group. It could be a small group of people that encourage you to create something great. It could be just one person that you value highly in your life that has encouraged you. My point is: encouragement and support are incredibly powerful - we should all try to do it more often for those around us. I am on track to produce just under a metric ton this year. Next year will be twice that. You get where I'm going with this? My goal is to be expanding by 100% or more each year until I reach the full scale. I will feed thousands of people. That makes me pumped up!!!
Making people happy makes me happy
I heard opportunity knocking and I answered the door. People told me I should grow tomatoes and sell them because they would buy them and others might as well. I didn't hesitate. I already had a business setup and researched all winter season. Now, jump to August and I've delivered well over my record last year. I sell them, but I still give many away because love to make people happy. And believe me, there are tons of happy people around enjoying my heirloom tomatoes.
The little things
I don't belong to any church or organization, but I am taking a large portion of my tomatoes and donating them to places that provide meals for the community. Not everyone has the privilege of having access to fresh, healthy food - so I try to change that in small, meaningful ways.
