We brace for winter because venus fly traps can only withstand 40 degree farenheit and above!
Luckily Texans dont get much of a winter. Our plants only need to be covered and brought inside during cold fronts. This plant is looking extremely healthy. A complete change from when I first saved this little guy from a Loe's.
The pitcher plant is thriving! take a look below:
A new pitcher has sprouted and grown larger than the rest. It grew to the same height as the others but within days. It seems to be eating small gnats and ants as of now.
The largest venus fly trap is struggling at the moment. It isnt thriving as much as as the smaller. I decided to move it into a place that gets more sunlight. I hope that will resolve the issue. It does have baby heads growing, so that's a promising sign.
