Aunque he estado tiempo sin escribir sobre mi huerto ecológico, no penséis que lo he abandonado, todo lo contrario. Hoy es 14 de agosto y el huerto está empezando a estar casi a pleno rendimiento. Hoy voy a mostrar fotos en la que el avance es evidente, ya tenemos nuestras primeras hortalizas y muy muy pronto podré saborear mis fabulosos tomates.
Although I have been writing about my ecological orchard for some time, do not think that I have abandoned it, just the opposite. Today is August 14 and the orchard is beginning to be almost at full capacity. Today I will show photos in which the advance is evident, we already have our first vegetables and very soon I will be able to taste my fabulous tomatoes.
Como siempre, cada vez que escribo sobre mi huerto, animo a todos los que tengáis la posibilidad de poder plantar hortalizas que lo hagáis. Es de las cosas más satisfactorias que hay, el poder comer algo muy ecológico y además cultivado y viendo como crece desde que es una simple semilla, es muy recomendable.
As always, every time I write about my orchard, I encourage all who have the possibility to plant vegetables that you do. It is one of the most satisfying things there is, to be able to eat something very ecological and also cultivated and seeing how it grows since it is a simple seed, it is highly recommended.
Tomates - Tomatoes
Ya he dicho muchas veces que son mi hortaliza favorita, en ensalada, en salsas, en el bocadillo, en cualquier cosa, los tomates son buenísimos. Las plantas están ya grandísimas y ya vemos los primeros tomates, verdes aún, pero pronto les daré el primer mordisco. Impresionante como han crecido, ¿verdad?
I have already said many times that they are my favorite vegetable, in salad, in sauces, in the sandwich, in anything, tomatoes are very good. The plants are already very large and we can see the first tomatoes, still green, but soon I will give them the first bite. Impressive as they have grown, right?
Pimientos - Peppers
Ya hemos comido unos cuantos, como todos los años, tienen un olor especial y un sabor espectacular. Un buen bocadillo de lomo con pimientos tomando una cerveza fría es un placer que todo el mundo debería disfrutar y más si es con pimientos 100% ecológicos. La cosecha ha empezado, pronto recogeremos muchísimos más.
We have already eaten a few, as every year, they have a special smell and a spectacular taste. A good loin sandwich with peppers drinking a cold beer is a pleasure that everyone should enjoy and more if it is with 100% organic peppers. The harvest has begun, we will soon pick up many more.
Calabazas - Pumpkins
¿Os acordáis cuando no se veían? Solo se observaba la planta y yo comentaba que pronto asomarían. Las calabazas acabaron apareciendo, como no podía ser de otra forma. A éstas le quedan mucho para ser recogidas pero ya se ven y antes de que nos demos cuenta estaremos comiendo calabaza rellena o puré de calabaza.
Do you remember when you did not see each pumpkins? Only the plant was observed and I commented that soon they would appear. The pumpkins ended up appearing, how could it be otherwise. These have a lot of time to be collected but you can see them and before we know it we will be eating stuffed pumpkin or pumpkin puree.
