Mid-April, I bought some garlic from on her Homesteaders Co-op shop along with them were some bulbs of Iris from her garden. I planted the bulbs straight away upon reception of the parcel but I set the garlic aside as I needed to make some potting mix. But life got in the way and I forgot about it and then could not remember where I kept the garlic until today lol.
In a plastic tub, I started to pour in some commercial potting mix, some compost, cow manure and worm compost. I then mixed the whole thing thoroughly and moisten it slightly.
They are probably too close to one another but I don't have enough space for more containers.
The Iris have had two months to grow and they are already giving some new leaves. I'm looking forward to see some flowers.
As I was walking around the garden, I notice the Curry plant that was given to us in a bad condition has just started to recover after four months. It was struggling to survive during the hot summer but with the weather cooling down it has now started giving young leaves.
My Aloe Vera plants have taken over half of the garden bed. They are amazing plants and are doing well all year long giving us nice leaves and gel for eating.
Below is one of the two last chokos I left aside for propagation in Spring. They have grown up so big.

You all know that your Steem password is the access to all your STEEM, SBD, posting, transferring, everything... right?
So, please, follow these simple steps and keep yourself safe:
- Apart from the initial setup of your account, NEVER use your password ANYWHERE, if stolen, it will give full control to your Steem account.
- Backup your password and keep it somewhere safe. Use a password manager like Lastpass, print it on paper and put it in a safe (no kidding). If you forget your password, no one can help you out.
