I went in search of myself online, OK I know we all detest CNN but the article does have valid points.
Now there were 2 things that happened online some years back that changed the way I do online anything. One was a friend who had a car on Hire Purchase or HP for short, was tracked down via her twitter account and made to hand back the car after she missed some payments on it, even though she was no longer in the same country she bought the car in. They also knew she had tried to sell it via one tweet she did on twitter.
The second was a more recent event, my mother whilst visiting here a few years ago, stopped at a local hotel and met a fellow English lady over breakfast, she exchanged my number for that of her sons, as we are similar age and the only two English guys for miles.
The first time I phoned him, he said are you that (my real name) that is on linkedin.
I deleted that account instantly.
I had not for a decade used my real name on facebook, which leaves me with a choice of friends, I look for old friends, not them me, so the quality of friends on there is much better than when I first tried it with my real name.
So as I got kicked off twitter for refusing to submit personal info, and do not use my real name or address, telephone number, or put pictures of me or my family on fakebook, I set about trying to find myself.
Similar to my status where I reside, I have come up with a big fat nothing, I simply do not exist online.
Neither do I here in pl.
Go on, try it, try to find yourself, go to the browser of your choice, put in your name, and see if you can find you, and see how easy it is or not.
One of the reasons I have curtains, is I do not want everyone seeing my whole life, why then would I do different on the internet?..........
Gardens time.
Well there was me thinking I was going to get a lazy and well earned, even if it is only me that says so - rest, the lady has different ideas.
She always wants more gardens, so next year I am just doing a whole field to be done with it.
This is what she has me doing today and tonight, planting, and a bit more digging and more planting, where is that whip at miss whiplash?.
Strawberries, tomatoes, mint and onions. Above.
Chili peppers, more tomatoes, cabbages, and 3 or four others.
Above there are so many seeds I put in that I have no idea now, but she wants to extend that back to the grape vine at the back.
Raspberries, strawberries, sunflowers, water melons and a whole lot more, again she wants that to be twice the size.
I did manage to get 30 minutes to replace the absolutely shocking condition seats in the car for a more comfort friendly red wine leather though.
