In a few more weeks it will be time to plant out the warm weather plants. Now is the time to get them all cleaned up from the fall and winter windstorms. I have been spending the last two weeks going around all my flower beds and preparing the raised beds for planting. I have cleaned and weeded them well, turned over the soil a few inches and will top some of them with lime to sweeten the soil as mine tends to be on the acidic side. Here are a few pics of some of my planting areas.
This is my vegetable garden where I plant eggplant, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers and summer squash.
This section behind the greenhouse gets planted with Jalapeno and Habanero peppers.
Here I have raised bed for herbs, strawberries, green onion, kale, swiss chard and a variety of lettuces. The little metal towers are under planted with snow peas.
You can see that the herbs are already starting to revive from their Winter rest. It is so wonderful to be able to start planting now that Spring has arrived.
Thank you for stopping by my post, I hope you enjoyed it.
Until next time, this is Sunscape...
