Planting season is starting around here, though it's been a wet and cool spring. This next 2 weeks should see the fields dried enough to begin planting. In the mean time, I've started a small straw bale garden in the front yard. So far, I'm putting in Strawberries, Saskatoon berry bushes, raspberries, and blueberry bushes. This week will see various squash plants and greens installed there too. Part 2 of the Yard Garden will see beans, cucumbers, and tomatoes trellised up over the deck, with plans to train the plants up over the gazebo.
