Here is a red Aglaonema plant with a beautiful pattern and color. This is just one of the hundred varieties of the plant. My brother saw one in the mall last week and he could not stop talking about it. The price though is way too expensive in my opinion for a plant that you can get for free.
So I picked one from my garden today and decided to give it to my brother as I was headed towards his place. I was riding a tricycle here on this photo. A convenient and popular way to commute here in the Philippines.
My brother was surprised to see this Aglaonema plant, his reaction is priceless. I told him a few things about the plant so he can properly take care of it:
- according to what I read online this plant can purify the indoor air
- they are best grown in tropical and subtropical regions
- they are low maintenance but need sunlight for a few hours
- water them moderately on a regular basis just avoid overwatering them
- repot once a year and may separate baby plant to grow a new sapling
