This is the best picture I could get of a big gecko which was living at a friends place.
Large, agile and carrying what looks like an armored coat this type of Cambodian gecko is different from some of the ones found in other parts of Asia.
I have seen large geckos which are red and blue in Indonesia but this particular kind seemed gray and teal. It also looked more knobbly than other types I have known.
I am sure that this gecko is not fully grown. My intuition tells me that there is a bit of growth left yet.
Gecko's have an extraordinary ability to cling to surfaces upside down and on vertical planes. They rarely fall off but it does happen.
I used to live with a particularly clumsy gecko who would fall from the ceiling once a month with a big plop! Then he would lie dazed on the ground for a bit before recovering his senses and running off. 😉
