Salutations, my fellow achievers!! My name is Aime Raine and Im a dreamer who has a lot to learn to each my goals.
I'd like to begin writing articles and blogs about my different experiences and thoughts, it may come in handy to others dealing with or went through the same experiences. I hope these blogs can entertain you and give you something T think about, at least for a short while.
I'm in quite a tough step in life, but a very big one. It's matric, we all know it as the last year of school ever, at least school ranked with "grades". It's the time that will determine the rest of your life, where you might make the craziest of desicions for after you matric, or you might have no idea what to do after school. It's a time of immense pressure and rushing, especially for those with things to do after school-time and hard subjects.
In my case, my life is mainly based off my studies, my part-time work and my friends and family. Those all are things I manage and try to organise, but as I said from the start, I'm a dreamer. I have big life goals that require me to put an added amount effort in. I made a list of 10 goals at the start of this year that don't have anything to do with my matric, and they can very well be a vital part in building my character.
A part of me wants to just get this matric year over and done with because there's much I can do in the time I'm in school, so I'm longing to get out of school.
Another part of me wants to make this year worth it as well. Because of people in my past experiences with school, it's made my high school - life much much more difficult and now I feel Ike I missed out.
It feels quite overwhelming, wanting to do so much and sacrificing so much to do it. But then there's another thing you learn about in matric. It the fact that while there are people out there who you can rely on for small things, you have to learn how to be self-reliant. To be your own shoulder you can lean on, to be your own problem solver and to be your own coach. You learn that intuition and your past-experiences come in handy, and that helping others can build connections and owe you back favors.
It's safe to say that matric is not just about grades (Although, dont get me wrong, it's still a Major part of it). Matric is also about personal growth and character development. The entirety of school is, Matric is just condensing it into an actual path you create for yourself.
It's easy to get overwhelmed by everything. So here's some advice, for those who are in Matric or who just seem to be stress about everything that happening in your life;
Get it out. Whether it's writing everything or saying everything out loud, get it out. Putting it out in a singular method so it not filling up your mind will let you calm down a bit and think it through.
Be gentle with yourself. Understand when you should work hard and when your body is telling you that you need to rest. Don't undermine yourself for mistakes like screwing up in a conversation or not meeting a deadline. Do what you can to fix a problem. Everything is a learning curve, a person never stops learning throughout their life. You need to be worth working for for yourself. Know that youre doing it because you want to achieve happiness fr yourself.
And lastly, don't let other people or your current situation make you give up on your goals, especially if its something you are passionate about. Your current situation and people standing in your way are only setbacks, meant to make the travel to your desired destination longer. As long as you keep going, as long as keep trying and moving forward no matter what setbacks you face, you can reach your goals. As the saying goes, "If there's a woe, there's a way"
Now, I hope you found this blog entertaining or helpful in some way. Keeping striving, my fellow achievers!!!
