There was a "Retreat Day" in the country I heard from my yoga teacher, why don't you come with your sister she said, so I thought why not. After some planning and booking a motel for a couple of nights we happily went on a little adventure after farewells to Ben. It was one of those getaways away from the computer and writing, a bit of freedom to explore and enjoy time out.
Our destination was a little country town called Crow's Nest named after an indigenous Aboriginal man who lived in the area long ago. As the information goes, Jimmy Crow helped the settlers with directions as they passed by this little town.
Crow's Nest is a very small quiet most sleepy town located 30minutes outside a large county city called Toowoomba, well known for its amazing flower gardens. Even in Crow's Nest the pretty flowers were evident in the form of the pretty sweet smelling purple Wisteria plant that grows as a vine over trellises.

The little park had some interesting sites to look at like the war monument dedicated to first world war, something that I always find very sad. To me war is such a terrible tragic waste of lives. However, they are stark reminders of the bravery of soldiers who fought so hard and never came back home to families.

Our little walk although very enjoyable did not take long and not too much was happening at 5pm on a Friday evening. The locals seemed to have gone home for the day, so decided to call it a day and went home to the motel for the night.
Cheers and blessings from country Queensland.

Spending a little bit of time to walk around the town centre of Crow's Nest little town has left me with some lovely memories.
