I took my family out on a Saturday afternoon riding our bikes. We went cycling near our place, but the area we went to we never went before. I always try to find a new route to explore to make our trip become interesting.
My son rode his small bike, which according to him, grew smaller and smaller over time. My daughter and wife were on one bike. I always rode the last riding my rusty bike so that I could stop any time to take photos.
The route that we took was a road to a neighborhood that has beautiful houses. They were all built-in Balinese style houses that decorated with many ornate carvings. There are also many flowers plants along the way, a typical look of a Balinese village.
I saw one classic cark parked by the road which I took several photos of. I did not see this type of car very often, so I did not know what it is called. Do you know?
The road was quiet and clean. Being in a small town, you could expect less cars coming and going. And with the prevailing COVID-19 cases there not so many things going on on the roads and in the town. Only one or two dogs coming to the street and they don't look too concerned about the pandemic.
We kept on cycling. Every peddle we did melt all the worry about our problems (money problems 😅) that we have. I knew those worry feelings would come back, but peddling the cycle make you forget the problems for a while.
The road we rode on got smaller and smaller and then it became a concrete path in the middle of a rice farm. We stopped and had a rest while enjoying the breeze. My son challenged me to ride on the farm. It's possible to ride because the farm was not wet. My wife and daughter sat on a small hut somewhere nearby.
My son enjoyed the bumpy path on the rice farm although he fell many times from his bike.
We also went to the farm where the farmers grow marigold. When we were there, some farmers were harvesting the flowers. At least, their flowers grow very well and could be harvested since their rice plants were nearly dead because of a lack of water.
We really enjoyed our calm Saturday evening in the farm. The sun went down in the west behind the clouds that never brings rain and we went peddling our bikes home.
