Hey Hive Community,
today I want to show you one of my crafting projects.
A couple months ago I designed and made a record holder :
I made a couple of photos of the process of building it, which I will show you now.
First I got the materials: wood, nails, glue, wood stain, brass rods, furniture wax, threaded rods and mutiple tools.
I cut the wood into shape and nailed + glued it together.
The result was a box with an opening on one side.
I also drilled holes into two sides of the box.
You will soon see why.
I used wood stain to give the box a darker and natural color.
After that I put some wood rails into the box.
The rails will seperate the records and make it easier to slide them in and out of the record holder.
In the next step I put brass rods through the holes of the box.
I used threaded rods to attach them.
The rods will further seperate the records and create seperate compartements for them.
There are 7 compartements and each compartement holds around 12 records, depending on the thickness of the records.
Now I used furniture wax to make the wood even darker and smother.
The last step was to attach the wheels.
I put some wooden blocks on the bottom side of the box.
It is made so that the box isn't standing straight, but a little bit tilted.
This way the records will better slide in the box and they are easier to grab.
Sadly I didn't make a photo of the wheels themself.
Here the final result: My own record holder
Thank you so much for your attention, I hope you liked it.

Have a great day! ❤️
