Hi dear steemians, good afternoon. Today steemians in our school, we have a workshop about GENDER SENSITIVITY AND SETTING BOUNDARIES and it composes the Gender Sensitivity, Setting boundaries, What are HIV and AIDS, Republic Act No. 10627 "Anti Bullying Act of 2013", and Republic Act No. 9262 "Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004".
In the Gender Sensitivity, we tackled what is SOGIE. SOGIE means that Sex Orientation Gender Identity and Expression. We also tackled what is Cisgender. Cisgender are those people whose gender identity Conform with their assigned birth-sex. In gender sensitivity there's a lot of topic where it is very important like, transgender, what is LGBT, What is gender sensitivity and different ways of transitioning of transgender. As we tackled all this, I open up my mind, in the things that I do not know. There's a lot of things I learned and can be useful in my daily living.
In setting boundaries, we tackled the importance to set boundaries, Types of boundaries, types of boundaries conflict. Boundaries as we tackled, these are the dividing lines between you and everyone else. The importance is to practice self-catering and self-respect, to Mae time and space for positive interactions, to communicate your needs in a relationship and to set limits in a relationship in a way that is healthy. The types of boundaries I learned from our workshop are the physical boundary, intellectual boundary, emotional boundary and spiritual boundary. I learned from our workshop that boundaries are not just physical and emotional but also it includes spiritual and intellectual boundaries.
One that open up my mind's that is the HIV/AIDS. I thought that AIDS will be cure but the time there is a workshop about it, I know now that AIDS has no cure. It has a medicine that will help your days long but it will never cure. HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency virus. HIV virus spread through certain body fluids that attacks the body's immune system, specially the CD4 cells, often called T cells. HIV is the virus that can lead to acquired Immunodeficiency syndrome, or AIDS, if not treated.
I learned that all things must be done must be aligned in the Republic Act. We must do and respect what they are and we must avoid AIDS.
GOD bless again steemians.
