Genoa, Italy 05/24/2019
I flew from Barcelona to Genoa. I need to save travel time to complete my planned itinerary. Genoa has a different atmosphere from the previous places in Spain. They except the Montserrat were located at small towns and comparatively silent. Genoa is a port city and home of Columbus. The city seemed to be full of energy. Was it prejudice?
I did a home stay through AirBnB. My accommodation is on the 6th floor. Sadly there was no elevator in the apartment. Fuck and Shit! I was already exhausted before going up the stairs. It is said to have been built 300 years ago. I take into account as compensation for exotic experience because there is no such old house to stay in Korea.
The house under the dome-shaped ceiling looks good. When I look out from window, the dense buildings close together are awesome! That's a charm of this city. It is both scary and exciting for me to experience the complex civilized world where the old and the modern coexist. Previous visits have all been monasteries in silent and calm, but here is a harbor city!
