I know there have been attempts like Takara to help introduce cryptocurrency into the world of cryptocurrency, but I feel the right way to introduce geocachers to cryptocurrency is to not create a distorted "cousin" of their beloved hobby. Instead we should focus on respecting their hobby and inserting cryptocurrency into their flow without disrupting their hobby or pulling them away from the ways in which they presently enjoy it.
First off, what is geocaching?
Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.
Geocaches can be found all over the world -- pretty much anywhere crypto also resides. It is common for geocachers to hide caches in locations that are important to them, reflecting a special interest or skill of the cache owner. These locations can be quite diverse. They may be at your local park, hidden in a parking lot of a local business, or on the side of a city street.
What can be found in a cache?
In its simplest form, a cache always contains a logbook or logsheet for you to log your find. Larger caches may contain a logbook and any number of items. You never know what the cache owner or visitors to the cache may have left for you to enjoy. The main rule which speaks to cryptocurrency: If you take something, leave something of equal or greater value in return.
This is how we can serve as ambassadors: by introducing cryptocurrency to our fellow tech geeks in the geocaching realm.
We print paper wallets, along with a very brief letter about cryptocurrency and place them in cache containers for other geocachers to discover, take and then hopefully explore our world of cryptocurrency as well.

This piece was written on my first real day of using Steemit. I'm very excited to be a part of this community. If you have any hints or suggestions, I'd love to hear from you.
Thank you!
