The skies looked OK when I got up this morning but as usual, it didn't take too long for the trails & the haze to ruin things. I'm not going to waste too much time on this as I realise I've said it all before, but a few pictures should surfice.
It's a testiment to how normalised to the white, hazy skies we've become, that very few people notice & even when it's pointed out it's dismissed.
At best its just aircraft condensation trails forming clouds/haze that lighten the sky & block the sun, but even this should be enough to start some serious conversations about the effects this might have on global climate & weather, but instead the billionaire Al Gore is releasing more movies (very few people are interested in watching them which is encouraging).
Look at these photos. You can clearly see the trails and how they spread. The entire sky in front of the sun is blanketed in haze caused by the trails. This is happening worldwide.
Clouds formed from aircraft condensation trails (water vapour) are called 'Cirrus Homogenitus'. Water vapour is a far more potent greenhouse gas than CO2.
