PLANTING FALL CROPS... IN THE RAIN

This is a new and fun gardening experience for me!

With a longer growing season down here, my opportunity to plant throughout the year is definitely increased. Recently, I noticed that something interesting had happened with my gourd tunnel...

It looked like all of my birdhouse gourd plants had died. On the West side of the tunnel I had planted the Snake Gourds, which are still doing excellent. On the East side, though, I had planted only Birdhouse Gourds. Now, all the birdhouse gourd plants looked dead.

Sure enough, upon closer examination, the stems were all brown and the plants were dead. Now it looks like I'll get a second opportunity to plant this side of the tunnel this year, which means some bowl gourds and scoop gourds! Also, I planted some squash, beets, and carrots, which I also cover in the video. Enjoy it!
