I just read the following short encouraging message about giving up.
"Remember, giving up is not an option. Every great accomplishment is built upon a foundation of small victories and setbacks. Embrace each challenge as an opportunity to grow, learn and become stronger. Keep pushing forward, trust in your abilities and have faith in the journey. You've got this!"
I always enjoy reading such short texts, but I don't necessarily agree with them. Of course, it isn't good to give up, but there are times in life when the right thing is to give up and do something else. But in such cases, you probably shouldn't call it giving up, but changing direction and doing something wiser.
What do I mean?
Maybe you have tried to become a master of the piano for years and years. Even though you have, you are still average and time is flying. It might not be right to call it giving up, but rather to use your energy and creativity at something in which you can bounce even higher and reach more success.
I am just thinking out loudly here. What do you think?
