Hebrews 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
There's gladness, peace and fulfillment for lovers of righteousness. It's important to understand that to be righteous means having a right standing and everlasting fellowship with God. It's the sure way to engage God's presence in our lives. Thus, when we love (married to, get overwhelmed by) righteousness, we attract the anointing of God's presence, full of peace and joy.
There's no gladness in the things of this world. In a moment we are happy and in the next we lost it, for where there's no fulfillment there's no joy. It's when we are right before God and hate iniquity, that the supernatural gladness comes upon us.
Don't be surprise when you are above your fellows, for the anointing of gladness takes you to greater heights. The world won't understand your joy, for it's the anointing that makes the difference.
Are you a lover of God and righteousness? Do you hate iniquity? Sin is a snare that robs man of peace, don't give it a chance.
Let's pray together.
Righteous Father, thank you for giving us the opportunity to stand right before you. We declare our love for righteousness and hatred for iniquity, please anoint us with gladness, in Jesus name. Amen.
