Good morning, Steemians.
I just found out about Steve Mnuchin (Our 77th Secretary of the Treasury + filmmaker) going to visit Fort Knox. He said that he is the first US Secretary of Treasury to do so since 1948.
What's the motive behind this?
Is he trying to reassure the U.S. public and the rest of the world that the gold is actually there since there has been skepticism and a desire to audit the gold? Do you believe him? I certainly don't. I think it's a little a feeble attempt to put everyone's mind at ease - to have one person go in and tell everyone "yeah, it's there." Why not let a team of reporters with cameras to go in like they did in the 50s?
I call bogus. What say you?
Thanks for stopping by, Steemians!
