Hive account@photocontests is running the "golden hour" category for their daily contest, so I figured I'd post this one. The "golden hour" happens just before sunset or just after sunrise. When there are no clouds, it's a great time of day for photography. A lot of the golden hour pictures I see are trying to capitalize on the beautiful warm tones that come with the sunlight. Lately, I have been paying more attention to the deep, directional shadows that are unique to that time of day instead.
