Shortly after dawn on the island of Koh Samet, a hazy sun can be seen through the mist over the Gulf of Thailand.
Misty morning
While the days on Koh Samet were bright and clear, there was usually a bit of mist in the air during the early mornings. On this day, there was just enough mist to soften the bright rays of the sun as it rose above the horizon.
Color, or black 'n' bright
Nevertheless, the dawn sun was bright enough to outline this tree and the shoreline, and to put them into stark relief. In fact, if not for the mist, the entire shoreline would have already been fully visible at this hour, and would have been in full color.As it is, the misty morning presented us with these striking silhouettes.
