I took this photo in Brno, which is - with a population of about 380,000 people - the second largest city of my homeland, the Czech Republic. The photo looks pretty warm thanks to the golden hue of the sky but as far as I remember, it was freezing really bad on that day and I had a hard time holding my camera still.
To enjoy this panoramic view of Brno (Brno – Zidenice to be more specific), you need to climb on the top of a hill known as Stranska Skala which is located in Brno – Slatina. While the hill looks ordinary at the first glance, it is actually one of the most important paleontological sites in Europe as thousands of fossils and bone fragments of a variety of prehistoric animals have been found there, dating back to hundreds of thousands of years ago.
So if you want to enjoy a nice sunset view from a place that was once brimming with prehistoric wildlife, make sure to check out this extraordinary spot on your next trip to the Czech Republic ;)
