Tiger Woods is back ya'll!
To be honest I had my doubts as to whether I would be able to utter that phrase when talking about Tiger Woods ever again.
After numerous back surgeries and much turmoil in his personal life, the writing seemed to be on the wall that he may never be even a shadow of what he once was.
Then last week happened...
If you were under a rock or just not a sports fan, Tiger almost pulled off an epic victory.
He played well enough all week to have his name on the first page of the leader board just about all week.
This was at a very difficult golf course mind you, and with a very deep field.
Then on the last day he found himself 2 shots back with only 2 holes to go.
He makes a 50 foot putt on 17 to get to 1 shot back with 1 hole remaining.
He gave himself about a 30 foot putt on 18 for birdie to tie the lead and force a playoff.
He wasn't able to knock that putt in and went on to finish second, but the magic was clearly back.
Then came this week...
Playing again on a very tough track with a very deep field, Tiger found himself on the first page of the leader board after day one.
Not only that, but he was leading at one point when he finished up his round.
And that was even with him hitting a shot out of bounds a few hole earlier.
It will be interesting to see how he fares the rest of the week, but one thing is for certain...
Tiger Woods is back!
