After winning the Masters, one would expect that Tiger Woods would have another impressive run at the Open this week. But that wasn't the case as he flunked out badly at the start of it and now he is desperate to get home while also planning to use this opportunity to take a break from golf.
It has been a very frustrating performance for the 43-year-old golfer who admitted to being in pains as his long-standing back injury had left hims 'sore'.
Although he is planning a some time off, he is expected to have a crack at the FedEx Playoffs in August.
In his word, ‘I just want to go home. I just want some time off just to get away from it.’
My Thoughts.
I think Woods is an impressive golfer who has weathered the storm after his famous cheating story that left him down and out until he came back out string and kicking to win the Masters.
Woods is one of my favorite golfers because he just makes the game of golf interesting. I am not sure what will be the outcome of this, but I am sure he is in pain as he struggled to withstand the cold, wind and rain at Portrush.
If he performed badly due to a standing back pain, then he should really take some time off, after all, he didn't quit because of 'a' scandal. He needs to take care of himself.
