Good Friday is the Friday preceding Easter Sunday and is the day Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross. We can celebrate on Good Friday because Christ's death was a sacrifice so that we could receive the gift of eternal life. Jesus bore our sins, shame, and burden on the cross. The results changed the course of humanity and what man meant for evil through killing Jesus, God meant for good!
On this day, it is good to reflect on what God has done for us the love He lavished on us freely, the forgiveness He gave though none deserved it and the mercy of His salvation.
Wherever you are in your walk with God, whether you are on fire, or joyous, or weary, or doubting, or hurting, or in lack, or sick, you can go back to the Word of God, be encouraged with the goodness and faithfulness He has displayed from the beginning and be assured that He will finish His work in your life. It all starts with the cross.
Mark 10:34
"And they will mock him and spit on him, and flog him and kill him. And after three days he will rise.”
