Google and Facebook have servers all over the place. Amazon has those, plus warehouses. They might have some other back office operations around the country.
Does anyone out there live in a non-coastal town or city that has had a major investment in back office operations from the big tech companies? Know any stories about how it's impacted the area? Has it changed the culture in any way? Have folks there successfully reinvented themselves to work there?
I'm curious about finding stories in places that we don't think of as "tech" centers but have been changed by the back offices of the big companies.
