I like the Young Turks, but only because I am 45% Liberal 35% libertarian and 20% Conservative, so their talking points tend to hit my demographic more often than not, but I can also time my watch to them piling on, being over-the-top, and redundant. They are also obnoxious, cliche, and complete fucking tools at best. That is all related to their politics, but now for some fucking reason they have decided to delve into reviewing Game of Thrones; even though, they haven't done any television show reviews or movie reviews prior to this. They have predominantly covered politics or viral agenda driven content. GOT is irrefutably the best show on television and the most streamed and downloaded show online. Every episode is an event and it makes perfect sense why a media outlet, or channel such as TYT would want to siphon of some of its popularity by doing immediate after episode commentary. The most self righteous ego indulging aspect of this shit however was that half of the two hour review is spent just watching them watch the show. You literally watch the four of them sit there and watch the show.
and this is where they fucked up
Despite being a prominent YouTube channel, the staff of TYT, somehow does not appear to be familiar with reaction videos. They seem to be more concerned with saving face and appearing cool than enjoying the show, or perhaps as I suspected, they were not hardcore GOT fans to begin with. Anyone who watches GOT is probably willing to watch this review just for the fact that all GOT fans binge on all GOT content, but within a few minutes you realize these fuckers don't know jack shit and their are no in-depth insights, no real research, nothing that one would expect from a hardcore GOT head on YouTube doing a review. I would say they should stick to politics, but the world would probably be a better place if they just kept doing GOT reviews that no self respecting fan would ever take seriously.
