Following up on my previous post (A Few Graffiti Found at the Bus Station in Zvolen), today I bring you the remaining pieces of Graffiti that I've found in this quiet and beautiful town.
After leaving the Bus Station, I looked at the time and calculated that I had a good 3 or 4 hours to spare, before being able to check in at the Hotel where I was going to stay, for a couple of nights.
I took a quick look at the map and I saw there was a Botanical Garden not very far away, so I headed there on foot. I already posted about this sweet and large Botanical Park, a couple of months ago. If you're interested, check out that post here:
On my way there I came to a place where the road and the train track converged for a while.
After walking a few more minutes, I arrived a level crossing and I saw the first hint that some Street Art was waiting for me ahead.
A couple of minutes later, I heard the train coming and I made a small video. I wasn't surprised to see some Graffiti painted over one of the carriages.
Here's a short DTube video of the train passing me by:
A few hundred meters ahead I saw the first really cool Graffiti piece. I knew there had to be a couple more artworks somewhere, in addition to the ones I encountered at the Bus Station.
This is a very recent painting, from 2017, as you can see on the right upper corner of the mural.
Here is a more frontal shot, so you can see the details a little better.
This piece, as well as the next ones I'd found, are located in the side walls of the garages belonging to residential apartments such as this one.
At the other side of the row of individual garages, a few more paintings were found. These are quite colourful but not as stylish as that first work.
I saw a couple more tags at this location but, frankly, they weren't good enough to make the cut. I preferred to ignore them altogether and resume my walk up to the Botanical Garden.
A few steps before reaching the entrance of the Zvolen Botanical Garden, I saw the last Street Art mural. And boy, this is an impressive work!
I was lucky enough that the parked cars were not directly in front of it, so I could take a full frontal shot of the whole drawing.
This mural is even more recent than the previous one, this one is dated 2018. The phrase included in the drawing reads:
- Cokolvek vidime, je pohlad, nie pravda!
(Whatever we see is a glance, not true!)
What an interesting philosophical quote. Don't you think?
