You must have taught that I have stopped this series hahah well you taught wrong.
The Interview Series is here to stay. Hello steemians, welcome to the first edition of this series for 2018 and Today I have with me someone whose challenge is one of the fastest rising challenge in this community. I give you .
@PARADISE-FOUND INTERVIEW
Alright lets begin.
- Introduce yourself.
I’m , founder of the #gratefulvibes challenge and the #gratefulvibes discord chat.
- how did you get to know about steemit?
In February of 2017, a friend told me about Steemit. He helped me get started and with my intro post. He explained the platform to me. I took to it like a fish to water, and soon I was a Steemit addict.
- what else do you bring to this community apart from grateful vibes
I run STEEMIT NFL PICK’EM during the football season. I gave away hundreds of $$ this past season. The STEEMIT COLLEGE BOWL PICK’EM awarded over $500 itself.
In the summer I do a lot of golf posts, not many others post about golf, so I’m unique in this.
I also have a lot of content to share soon from Israel. We took a holy land tour a few years ago, and I hope to have this ready to post soon.
As well as content from the Caribbean. When I first started, I posted a handful of Island posts. But didn’t have many followers so didn’t feel the payouts were acceptable for this content. So I have been hanging on to this material, waiting for the time to begin using it. We own a Townhouse in the Caribbean, and I will be traveling there again soon. Currently, I travel there twice a year for a month or so each visit. Hopefully, I will be posting from the Island on a regular basis in 4 years or so.
- how did the concept grateful vibes emerge?
I was thinking about improving the attitude of my family.
I was thinking, what could we do to be intentionally more positive?
And I thought that being grateful would be a good start.
And as I was thinking about it, remembering the flag wars and things of this sort here on Steemit.
I thought, why not try to intentionally improve the whole community of Steemit.
So the concept was born, so 70 days seemed like a good amount of time to effect a change.
You know, change the way we think and act.
Turn attitudes to positive grateful thoughts.
And thats what happened, and many very good people came here!!
Awesome friendships formed and #gratefulvibes became a community.
And many of us call it a family.
I didn't know that would happen.
- if you are to change something about steemit what will that be?
That’s a tough question. I wish the reward pool was more equal, but I don’t know of a better way to do it. I’m very satisfied with this amazing platform.
It was easier to get noticed when I started. Since that time there have been many more people joining Steemit, so it’s very difficult to get noticed. And as it continues to grow, it will get even harder. But I believe that if a person has patience and sticks with it, posting good content, their patience will be rewarded.
One thing I wanted here was a way to communicate, other than through comments/replies. And this we accomplished through the #gratefulvibes discord channel. Now friends can chat outside of the normal Steemit lines of communication. This is a real blessing!
I think the founders and the people in charge made a wonderful platform, and the hardforks they have implemented have been exceptional.
At one time I considered leaving, for a Steemit spinoff. But that was very short lived and I’m happy with the platform as it is today. I’m definitely here to stay.
- what's your expectations for steemit in the next 5years
Changes will continue in the form of hardforks, the people in charge seem to have a good handle on guiding the Steemit ship. They will keep the vessel running smoothly as we head into unchartered waters. We must keep in mind, this is first of a kind. But it is also the best social media platform in existence today. So there will be copycats, but I trust our Steemit team will keep us ahead of the rest.
I believe we are months away from a huge influx of influential people joining and bringing huge followings with them. The impact will be like a tidal wave, and new accounts will double then triple each day. The impact on the Steem price will be just as large, it will climb maybe even exceed $100. Anyone here already should hold onto their Steem and SP. In my opinion, their patience will be rewarded down the road.
There is also a lot of buzz about the Smart Media Tokens. I look forward to seeing how this impacts the platform and the Steem Price.
As for #gratefulvibes, I believe it will continue to grow and grow. The family like community that has developed, is perfect for newcomers. They get the support and encouragement needed to succeed here. And they also have a sense of acceptance and being part of a group that cares. Because it’s true, the people at the #gratefulvibes chat really care. We also pray for each other just like family.
- what is your advise to other steemians
Enjoy the community! When you start out, engage the community. Meaning: post yes, but also visit and read, comment, make friends, enjoy the community!! Don’t get hung up on post payouts, instead enjoy the people. If you do this the rest will follow.
Personally, I’ve made amazing friends, and the crazy thing is they are world-wide. My world has been expanded by this amazing platform. That is the true genius of Steemit.
Thank you to my friend, @Jemimah, for asking me to do this interview. I’ve enjoyed your thoughtful questions. God bless you all,
That will be all for today. Thank you for having this episode with me. .
